Our Story
For more than 60 years the Patton Family has been delivering the taste of New Orleans to satisfied guests across the country.
In 1954, Oliver and Shirley Patton began a small catering business in the back of their grocery store in the historic ninth ward of New Orleans. The business moved into bustling Chalmette, and Oliver and Shirley’s legacy continued in the capable hands of their children who made Patton's one of the top three independent caterers in the New Orleans area. This is no small feat when considering the tough competition in a city that revolves around food. But hard work, delicious dishes and a dedicated staff combine to create excellent events.
In 2002, Patton’s purchased the historic Salmen-Fritchie House in Olde Towne Slidell, and operations moved there full time after Hurricane Katrina swept through in 2005, destroying the location in Chalmette. Today, the Patton’s Historic Salmen-Fritchie House is available to host events such as showers, weddings, corporate functions, and more. Sunday Brunch has come back too - make sure to check out the Sunday Brunch page for more information.
We welcome the opportunity to become a part of YOUR family's tradition by serving up a successful event, large or small. Please feel free to give Patton's a call today at 985-645-3600 or send an email to info@pattons.com to request an event proposal.
